RIDGECREST HOSTS 2ND MAJOR "COLA" AWARD WINNER (October 13, 2002)

(Ridgecrest)---For the second consecutive year the Ridgecrest Regional Film Commission played host the top winner at the California Film Commission's California On Location Awards. The 8th annual COLA ceremonies were held at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Rey on Sunday. The winner in the prestigious Feature Film Production Company of the Year category was Green Lake Productions who filmed the majority of the upcoming family feature HOLES at Cuddeback Dry Lakebed. This year's HOLES win follows PLANET OF THE APES, the Twentieth Century Fox production that won last year after lensing its climatic battle scene at the Trona Pinnacles. Both locations are promoted by the Ridgecrest Regional Film Commission.
