DIRECTIONS TO OLANCHA SAND DUNES:

• Take the 405 Freeway NORTH to the 5 Freeway.

• Take the 5 Freeway North to the CA State Route 14.

• Take CA State Route 14 NORTH for approximately 67 miles to Mojave.

• At Mojave CA State Route 14 bears to the RIGHT.

• Continue to the intersection of CA State Route 14 & U S Route 395 (approximately one hour)

• From the intersection of U S Route 395 and CA State Route 14,

• Continue north on U S Route 395 for approximately 29 miles.

• Turn RIGHT on U S Route 190.

• Continue for 1 to 1 ½ miles.

• Turn RIGHT onto dirt road.  Follow road to entrance to Olancha S. D.

• CAUTION: Dirt road quickly turns into sand, at dunes entrance. 

• Don’t drive too far
